Secularisation in the UK is increasing and many people find themselves having no contract with any given religion or faith during their lives. Given this fact, many individuals are deciding that it would be inappropriate to have a funeral ceremony that is tied into a particular religion.

I can offer a ceremony that does not have any religious content and makes no mention of religion whatsoever.

This type of ceremony is sometimes described as being ‘life centred’ and focus’s upon the individual’s personal life journey. Music and poetry can be weaved into this type of ceremony and I can help you choose this, should you wish.

If you feel it is appropriate, a short period of quiet reflection can be included within the service to give to those with religious beliefs, the opportunity to say a silent prayer.
