A Good Funeral Matters!

A funeral ceremony is a vital part of the grieving process. It serves a number of purposes but essentially it allows family and friends to acknowledge their loss of a loved one, at a very difficult time. Accurately paying tribute to the deceased is very important indeed.

People coping with bereavement are not always aware of the choices available to them.

Choices of ceremony may be influenced by religious or cultural beliefs and traditions. They may also be influenced by personal preference.

It is a common misconception that funeral ceremonies are either conducted by a  Religious Minister or a Humanist Officiant. Some individuals say that although the deceased person did not go to church or did not consider themselves ‘religious’, there was still a spiritual element to their life.

It is possible to encompass this in a funeral ceremony, without the restraints of a traditional religious approach.

What I Offer

An ever increasing number of people are finding that their needs and preferences are best met by a Civil Funeral Celebrant.

A civil funeral ceremony is not driven by the beliefs or ideology of the person conducting the service, but by the wishes and beliefs of the deceased and/or their family and friends.

I will help create a bespoke funeral ceremony that pays a fitting, dignified and meaningful tribute to your loved one, accurately reflecting their journey through life. I will tell the tale of the life lived exactly as the family wish it to be told.

Each human life is unique. I believe that each funeral ceremony should capture the essence of this uniqueness.

I actively encourage family and friends to participate, should they wish to do so.

I will happily assist in the choosing of music, poetry or readings if you need any guidance on this.

Should you contact me independently or via your Funeral Director, I will communicate quickly and efficiently with you (and the Funeral Director) at all times.
